Michel Tanguay, Chief Financial Officer for Vomaris, decided to explore options when the company’s full-time IT professional resigned. “I didn’t think we needed a full-time IT resource, so I decided to explore the option of outsourcing IT when our IT person resigned,” shared Tanguay. After connecting with Tim Tiller, MyTek’s CEO, on LinkedIn and vetting MyTek, Vomaris selected them as their managed IT services partner.
As a MyTek Butler customer, Vomaris receives the IT support they need, including support for hardware and software, new employee system set-up and email. Their employees also have access to MyTek’s customer service support. Vomaris maintains some of their IT, including their internal server management, although MyTek has provided strategic counsel as needed. When Vomaris had a server go down and needed replaced, MyTek proposed a new solution, which Vomaris included in the final configuration. Access to a MyTek “CIO” resource is also provided, which Tanguay says he “found easy-to-access and interact with when it came to larger more strategic issues.”
Vomaris has also leveraged MyTek for a major transition from a server-based to cloud-based software that is essential to their business as a medical device manufacturer. “We did this almost overnight and it would not have been possible without Michael’s [MyTek engineer] help and support. He worked non-stop to help us make the transition,” said Tanguay.
