The 3-2-1 Backup Rule
Here’s how it goes:
- You should always have three copies of your data. One copy is operational (aka the one you work from) and the other two copies are backups.
- Your backups should be stored away from your functioning data, on two different storage mediums.
- One copy should be stored offsite, on the cloud.
