In order to change the default apps on Windows 10, follow these steps:
- First, click on the Start menu in the bottom left corner of your screen, then click on settings, which is the option with a gear symbol next to it.
- Select the “System” selection.
- Click on “Default apps.”
Based on different categories, such as Email, Maps, Music Player, Video Player, Web Browser, and Photo Viewer, you can change which application you would like to be the default. This means that any files you open will be displayed in the default application of your choosing.
If this ever varies and using the default setting doesn’t work, you can right-click the file you are wanting to open and click “Open with” and click the application of your choosing.
