Restoring your applications might seem like a really strange thing to do, but there are actually a lot of compelling reasons you might want to. Today, we’re going to be talking about how to restore apps and why you might want to.
When do You Need to Restore Your Applications?
Some of the main reasons you might need to restore your applications are that your phone was damaged unexpectedly, or maybe you just wanted to switch out your phone. The reason is not necessarily the important part, but if you need to restore your applications, we can help.
Preparing Your Android Backup
You will first need to make sure your Android has backed up everything, and you can do this by heading over to Settings in the System section. Then you need to click Backup and Backup to Google Drive. Doing this will save your phone’s settings to your Google Drive, so that way you can easily restore them on your next device.
Next, when you’re setting up your new device, it will give you the option to copy your data after it’s connected to your Wi-Fi. As we prepared, you should select the “A backup from the cloud” selection.
You’ll be able to log into your Google account so that you can redownload your apps onto your new phone. You can even pick and choose what apps you want to download and which ones you want to leave behind.
