What’s in store for the second Windows 10 update of 2018? Any guesses?
Is it too much or too little? Experts have diverse opinions on this.
In this blog, we will decode the crucial features from the latest Windows 10 update. There are many new features that might help your business.
Let’s dive in!
Microsoft’s New ‘Your Phone’ App
Your Phone App lets you seamlessly integrate your phone with the new Windows 10 update. Since 2017, Microsoft has worked hard to make Android & iOS phones work better with Windows 10.
Your Phone App works best on Android phones. It is easy to sync your text, data, and messages. You can even use your PC to paste mobile photos. Similarly, with the use of a PC, you can send SMS using your phone number. Microsoft did try hard to make the same feature work on iOS devices, but Apple provides limited access to SMS data. Hence, it becomes challenging to integrate iPhone with the Your Phone App.
The Advanced Version of Task View: Timeline Feature
The timeline feature is an advanced version of the task view wherein users can see the current software they are working on. In addition, you get to know the apps used or the websites opened in the last 30 days on your Windows 10 PC.
If you sign in to an account using multiple devices, your activities are synced across all the devices. You can see the list of completed tasks, pending activities, action items, and more for up to 30 days. Interestingly, if you use the Microsoft Edge App on iOS or Android devices, you can easily track your work productivity.
Modified Dictation Tool
The best part about the recent Windows 10 upgrade is that Microsoft has made it easy to launch the dictation functionality. For this, you have to work with the speech services option.
Select the Settings option on your computer. Then, click on Privacy and scroll to the Speech, Inking, & Typing option. After this, click on the Speech Services button. Once it starts, click on the windows + h key to activate dictation.
Windows 10 will continue to update its OS with new features in the future so it’s time to adapt to the changes.
