With a 33.7 percent market share, Gmail has overtaken companies all around the world. We’re sure you’ve used it before and we’re also sure that you probably agree that many people wish they could spend less time on their Gmail. Some days, with a million things to do, writing one more email is at the very back of your mind. One major way to cut down on time spent on Gmail is by utilizing Gmail templates, so you don’t have to rewrite similar emails over and over again.
How To Use Gmail Templates
Using Gmail templates makes it possible to create standard emails that you might use often. This template can be edited as needed but reduces the amount of time spent drafting emails that you could have a template for.
Using Gmail Templates
Head over to Settings > See All > Advanced > Templates and make sure to turn this setting on by enabling it. Don’t forget to Save Changes before you leave, or you will have to redo this step. Then, let’s get started with creating your email template drafts.
Creating Gmail Templates, and Selecting Which to Use
Now, you’re ready to go!Â
- Open up an email like you normally would.Â
- Write out an email you would like to use as a template.Â
- Click the three-dot menu and click Templates.
Click Save draft as a template
Now, you are ready to go. Create as many templates as would be helpful to use. You can easily revise and delete them in the template menu. Using templates will help you and the rest of your team. Sometimes, it feels like you have written the same email over and over again in the same day, but now you can use a pre-made template and simply fill in the blanks to make the email personalized.
