Remote learning and remote work are becoming ways of life or at least something we can fall back on when we have to. With this type of work, you need to make your office’s or household’s wifi signal as great as it can be. Here’s how to fix Wi-Fi signal problems, so you can maximize your router’s strength.Â
Here are some things we recommend:
Elevated, Centralized Placement
Your router needs to be able to get its signal to every single device in your home or office, so it needs to have an unobstructed path. To make this happen, you’ll need to try to make sure no obstacles are in the way. We recommend placing your router in a centralized place, and elevated, so barriers are not in the way.
Keep It Away from Clutter
A signal can be blocked by just about anything, no matter what the size is. If your router is elevated and centralized, that is great, but any clutter around it can actually cause an issue. Even other devices and wires can disrupt the connection, so make sure it has space and a clear area.
Augment with Extenders, or a Second Router
If placement and clutter aren’t an issue, it might be scope. This can be fixed by using signal extenders, or even an additional router.
