Does your business use Microsoft Word? It is one of the world’s leading word processing apps and even so, you’ll want to make sure you’re using it to its full potential. These are some Microsoft Word tips that can help your team use Word while becoming more productive.
Focus Mode
Microsoft has integrated a Focus Mode to help your team stay focused while doing their daily tasks. This mode removes the feature bars at the top of their screen, so they can focus on the document without any of the noise or distractions presented on their desktop or laptop screens.Â
Focus Mode can be enacted by going to the View menu tab, hovering over the Immersive section and clicking on Focus. The interface will then be transformed and you will only be able to see the document you are working on. You can also change the background behind the document to a color that helps you focus best.
To leave Focus Mode, you’ll simply have to hover your mouse over the top of the screen to retrieve the interface back, then you can click Focus to turn it off.
Immersive Reader
Immersive Reader is another tool available in Microsoft Word. This option also appears next to the Focus option and works to make it easier for you to read the documents you’re working on. The text size, font and formatting can change momentarily to fit the needs of the reader. You can customize these settings so when it is used, they are the best fit for your eyes.Â
It also has a Read Aloud feature with several customization of voice and speed that can read the document back to you.Â
Online Video Insertion
Did you know you can even insert videos from online onto your document now? Instead of having to download the video, you can add the video from YouTube, Vimeo, and other websites. You will find this option in the Insert menu, and click Online Video. You’ll be able to paste the link of the video so the video can be inserted into your document. The video can then be moved around and resized in the way you want.Â
