Cloud Services

Private Cloud Services

Cloud computing is a technology that uses the Internet and central remote servers to maintain data and applications. Cloud computing allows users and businesses to access their mission critical applications and files from any computer with Internet access. This technology allows for much more efficient computing by centralizing storage, memory, processing and bandwidth.

By deploying cloud technology solutions, MYTEK will give your organizations’ users access only to the resources they need for a particular task. This prevents your organization from paying for idle computing resources. MYTEK’s cloud computing services can also go beyond cost savings by allowing your users to access the latest software and infrastructure offerings to foster business innovations. Call MYTEK today to inquire about our cloud based IT solutions.

Backup and Disaster Recovery Services

In information technology, a backup or the process of backing up is making copies of data that may be used to restore the original after a data loss event.

Backups have two distinct purposes. The primary purpose is to recover data after its loss, be it by data deletion or corruption. Data loss is a very common experience of computer users. 67% of Internet users have suffered serious data loss. The secondary purpose of backups is to recover data from an earlier time, according to a user-defined data retention policy, typically configured within a backup application for how long copies of data are required.

MYTEK’s disaster recovery planning process implements policies and procedures that are focused on preparing for recovery or continuation of the technology infrastructure, which is critical to any organization after a natural or human-induced disaster. Disaster recovery is a subset of business continuity. While business continuity involves a plan for keeping all aspects of a business functioning in the midst of a disruptive event, disaster recovery focuses on the IT or technology systems that support business functions.  MYTEK can offer you a wide range of business/IT continuity planning services, disaster recovery planning services, and disaster recovery systems.

Firewall Protection

A Firewall is a system designed to prevent unauthorized access to or from a private network. Firewalls can be implemented in either hardware and software configurations, or a combination of both. Firewalls are frequently used to prevent unauthorized Internet users from accessing private networks connected to the Internet, especially intranets. All messages entering or leaving the intranet pass through the firewall, which examines each message and blocks those that do not meet the specified security criteria. MYTEK can implement the proper protection for you network and Internet connections.

There are several types of firewall techniques MYTEK uses:

Packet filter: Looks at each packet entering or leaving the network and accepts or rejects it based on user-defined rules. Packet filtering is fairly effective and transparent to users, but it is difficult to configure. In addition, it is susceptible to IP spoofing.

Application gateway: Applies security mechanisms to specific applications, such as FTP and Telnet servers. This is very effective, but can impose performance degradation.

Circuit-level gateway: Applies security mechanisms when a TCP or UDP connection is established. Once the connection has been made, packets can flow between the hosts without further checking.

Proxy server: Intercepts all messages entering and leaving the network. The proxy server effectively hides the true network addresses.

In practice, many firewalls use two or more of these techniques in concert. A firewall is considered a first line of defense in protecting private information. For greater security, let MYTEK put the proper safety features into place to protect your data and your business.
